One week later

So obviously things have been a little quiet on the blog front.  You would think that means that we have spent a lot of time doing the things we'd given up over the course of training....namely sleeping, drinking alcoholic beverages, and STEERING CLEAR OF THE GYM.  Strangely, this hasn't been the case.

Well, ok, there have been more bevies consumed this week than the entire span of January-May, but the other pieces haven't changed much.  We both got back to the gym as soon as possible and Jess has even been crazy enough to keep up her class + running schedule...ew! What has happened to us?!

There are also a few more girls who have started sparring so we have some fresh meat in the ring!  Unfortunately for me they are all Jessica-sized, but still- it saves Jess and I from having to fight each other constantly.   There's also talk of fight shows coming up and we're being hounded with questions of whether or not we'll fight again.... On the one hand, it was an unbelievable high to win and I think that spurs us on to try it again.  On the other hand, it would be kind of cool to go out with an undefeated record and the awesome Haymakers memory untarnished!  I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Obviously the blog has not been shut down yet and who knows what its fate will be now that we are officially done with training and Haymakers.  We've been waiting (rather impatiently) for some new videos and pictures to post.  We have heard word that videos are on their way but just not ready yet.  Incentive to keep checking back in!

In the meantime you can probably find us right back where you left us...at the gym....all the time...

So, overall- an amazing night and we are both still on an unbelievable high.  Again, thank you to EVERYONE who came out last night from Striking Beauties- Mary, Pro Shelly, Tall Shelley, Maria, Laura, Rita, Val, Mr. Val, Lisa, Magen, Courtney, Sarah, Sandrine, Jen O., Aleks, Wayne, and Tracey (who was cheering us on from home).   

Yes, they arrived in a limo...how amazing is that?!

We also couldn't have done this without our super corner team- Zach and Dena who were focused, calm, and gave us the exact advice we needed.

And obviously, much love to the friends and family outside the gym who supported us both at the event or waited nervously for the news back at home.  It was nice that you remembered who we were since it seems like we hadn't stepped outside the gym for the last 4 months :)
